Recipe For Life.

Bring water to a boil, add happiness stalk, then stir. Put in it two spoonfuls of sugar, a dash of pepper, and a bowl of surprises. Then mix in diced challenges and chopped concerns. Cook for 10 minutes and add salt to taste. Serve with delight garnishing and satisfaction sauce.

If only life were this simple.

I look around and I say this with the most candid observation, that people have forgotten to raise their lips upwards and, smile. Responsibilities, duties, job, obligations, requirements are all one side, all equally important, but being plain happy lies on the other scale. Why then is the balance not uniform? We have become so solemn, so humorless, most of us at least. We surely can handle responsibility with a content strength of mind. No matter what superstition you try to solve, or who you worship, life is still going to hand you the bag of jelly beans as it would do otherwise. The only difference is what you do with the color and flavor you dislike; swallow it, throw it, or even better, exchange it!

Let’s forget about our worries just for a little bit and actually live life. Laugh uncontrollably, chatter incessantly, play our own little games, fool around, relax, and pamper ourselves! I mean I know this is unrealistic for day-to-day basis but we should allocate some time for ourselves too. That Monday feeling is loathed by each and every one of us but a fresh start can only come after a combination of recreation and respite to the body and soul. Take a walk, meditate, indulge yourselves in the natural world, tickle your taste buds, or do something bizarre! After all, our bodies need that constant servicing to repair the exhausted batteries and loose bolts too!

Let’s put it in a simpler way shall we? Life is a mailing account. We get spams of irritations, which we have to delete. Then we get inbox of attachments about love, friendship, happiness which we store. There are also the occasional mails which we label junk and move to the trash. Our contacts are those who we interact with on and off. Some of us prefer shortcuts to every step and prefer to save every given second. Our little calendar on the sidebar helps us keep track of the reminders and things-to-do and of course the mini chat which we use to relive our stress. The information underneath will let you know how many megabytes you have utilized with life’s oncoming information. There are drafts to help us take our time and compose the perfect mail. And when life fails to load, we use the HTML version. After all that hard word, let’s turn on the labs feature and take time to play snake on our own monitor of life!
