All The Merrymaking.

I never did get that Santa’s cap. But other than that Christmas was as sassy as it could get. There was snow (yes I call the fog here snow), there was cake, there were candy canes (the fake plastic ones taped to the glass doors) and there was that overdue thanksgiving turkey I had last night!

I would bet my pretty blue sleeping socks to anyone who can prove that there is another month as sizzling as December. The month to kick off the work boots and put on the party heels and dance! The worries about the excessive expenditure, the holiday weight, the backyard mess, or the pending papers are all for January. This is the month when, no matter how down in the dumps you feel, the nightlights call to you. Its just the tingle in the air that roams the streets. The decorative windows of shops, the fancy menus on the entrance of bistros, signs of SALE everywhere, frenzied kids and ladies and gentlemen all eager getting somewhere…the happiness is contagious.
Everyone gets a smile. No one is a stranger on Christmas, on new year’s eve. The candy is never too much, the dressing is never excessive, and the food is always. You just feel warm on the inside. You just do.
And there is always something to look forward to..
